I have a question regarding filing I130 and I485. Any help will be greatly appreciated, since BCIS phone lines have been confusing with their answers.
My USC wife filed I130 for me about a year ago at Nebraska SC, but not the I485 at the time, due to a mixup on our part. Based on the case progression times, it looks like NSC is very slow at processing the I130.
I was wondering at this point what I should do regarding filing for I485 and EAD. I am on an H1B for another year, but the slow progress of I130 is beginning to worry me. Do I have to wait until I130 is approved to file I485 and EAD? Or, can we file for I485 and the EAD with only the receipt for I130?
