I really need your help receiving greencard

This is what I see when I check my uscis checking status :


the post office returned your Card as undeliverable. We will hold it for 180 days from October to allow you time to contact us. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application or application for replacement with fee

My problem is, when I contact their number showed below, they ask me to enter my receipt number, but I can't !! I can't tape Ioe letters , , we only can type digital numbers but no caracteres... My receipt number starts with Ioe....

Have you tried the receipt number without the letters? Or used the corresponding numbers to IOE on the keypad?
Otherwise just call a general USCIS line or make an infopass.

Do you have any idea why your card was returned? Did you not use a street address? Or are you sharing an apartment without your name being on it?
 
So help me I can't find how I enter this caracteres IOE using my phone, we can only tape digital numbers 0 .. 9
I tried entering my receipt number without Ioe and it doesn't work

Does your keypad not have letters below the numbers? ABC below the 2, etc?
Did you look at the links britsimon posted?

Also if you know why the card was returned please post that as it may help someone else avoid the same problem.
 
They sent.it to the old address, not mine, I haven't receive it, usps sent it back to uscis..
Now I've to call them ( u see the message below) otherwise they gonna destroy it.. And I ve to apply for another one

Hello everybody

I have arrived to US in Sep,3,2014 and received my SSN in Sep,12,2014 and the states moved from accepted to Optimized in Sep 23 and till now nothing happened so please guys am so worry about becouse I can't work and even open bank account so please any advice or any thing that's I can do.

You don't need the Green Card to open a bank account or take a job. Your I-551 visa in your passport is acceptable evidence for the bank or any employer.

Have you checked the status of your case on the Uscis case status tracker? (use the IOE receipt number from your ELIS account). You should have received your GC by now if you were optimized a month ago.
Like britsimon says however not having the physical green card should not stop you doing anything else especially if you have your SSN already.
