I have a TN Visa that I might not use

Hi all,

I got a TN Visa that was issued this last April, but my employer has closed my position due some budget issues in the company. Now, I would like to start a local business and I believe I won't use my TN Visa. I have the following questions:

1. Is there any type of penalty if I have a TN Visa and I never use it?
2. Can I get another TN Visa in the future if I need it?

Are you thinking of starting a business in the US? You would need a visa for this.
