I-94 valid for 6 mths

My Father in law was issued a visa fro 3 mths in India.
When he came here at POE he got I-94 for 6 mths.


what do we need to keep as evidence that his stay is authorised
till 6 mths for his next visit?

He may stay until the date on his I-94. HOWEVER, at the time he applied, he had given a length of time he had planned to visit. His credibility for future visas depends in part on his truthfulness. For example, if he had said he wanted a 6 week visit in order to get his first visa and then stay 6 months, he will not be seen as to be as good a risk for a future visa as if he stayed the 6 weeks he initially requested.
