I-751 filed @ vermont october 2003

I was wondering if anybody filed their I-751 at VSC in the october
timeframe to compare experinces.

My timeline:
10/10/03: application received by vsc

i have not received noa/receipt yet but the check was cashed oct 16, 2003.

my 2 yr. greencard expires 12/14/03. what are my options regarding getting i-551 stamp?
 
you can use your cashed check as a receipt and go to your local INS office with your valid passport and get a 1-551 stamp.

Usually with 2-3 months you should be receiving a letter from the INS saying that they received your payment and that your GC has been extended by 1 yr !! Hopefully you should be getting that soon....but if you prefer you can go to your local INS office and get the I-551 stamp.

And dont worry....even if you dont get the stamp....you dont go out of status...that is what my lawyer had told me !! But I felt more comfortable having either a stamp or a letter with me at all times.

So you can do whats in your best interest !
