I-140 transfer

Hi All,

I have my I- 140 approved from my former employer few months ago and I am trying to move to a new employer. Following are the questions I have in this matter

1) Will I be able to transfer the I -140 applied from by former company, over to the new employer ?

2) if so, please do tell me the important aspects involved and the points I need to consider.

3) In the future (next 2-3 months)would I have to notify my former employer about the same, around the time where I would be ready to transfer my I -140 or I would never be required to discuss this with my former employer ?

You cannot transfer your i-140 but keep a copy of your I-140, you can still maintain your priority date with the new employer. That way you won't be pushed back to the end of the line when you apply for Perm LC.
