I-140 and 7th year extension

My I-140 has been approved and I am preparing th I-485 (AOS). My H1B expired on March 4th and my company has aplied for 7th year extension in January with TSC. If they deny the 7th year extension, can I still work for the company since my I-485 is pending..? if not can I stay in the US until I get my EAD and resume work for the same company...?

don\'t worry

you\'ll get your 7th yr extension approved.....

And about working legally, you need either H1 or EAD to work here legally....but you can be here once you apply for 485 .......but the catch is when you don\'t have H1 or EAD you can\'t be on your company\'s pay roll either....which means you have to quit and join...just being on leave will not help
