How to start a consulting Company after GC in Silicon Valley

Hi Friends,

This is Rachana again.
happy to share with you that I recently received my green card.

I need few Information from you Gurus:

1) I would like to start a consulting company, Is this legal ? . If so how can I start the same ?
2)What's the procedure for registering company.
3)Can I make my home as my office ?
4)Also can I hire my spouse for that company ?

You guys all helped me a lot before GC. I would apprecaite any feedback, comments OR conerns

If one set up such a company, does he need to
do himself or his spouse an I-9 process to make sure
he is hiring someone with work eligibility even though
he clearly know his own and his spouse's immigration
status already?
