Hi everybody,
I am on H1B visa and my mother is on visitor visa. Our Family-Based Immigration petition was filed by my mother's sister in 1985 and it got approved very long time ago. Also we got the letters from US Embassy 3 times after that they closed the Approved immigration petition because my Mother's sister died. She don't have any kid and she was divorced. Now my question is can i open the immigration petition again even though there is no any relative present in the US who is US citizen. Are we eligible for Legal Immigration Family Equity (LIFE) Act. Which is for those individuals who has Family-Based Immigration petition filed before year 2001. My Case is very very complicated. Please suggest me some way if i can do anything to open my Family-Based Immigration Petition.
