Only if you suffer a job change during your GC process can you understand that the whole immigration process is meant to provide cheap labor to the country and then maybe your idea of welcoming foreigners with open arms will change.

Not sure how it is related to welcoming or not welcoming immigrants. Getting GC is a process. If this process takes longer time, that does not mean the person is not welcome.

Only immigrants have to be smart and hard working to make a good life.

Is it a news? That's the US immigration policy all along and US does not not hide this fact. If you are Monica Seles or Ustad Ali Akbar Khan or a nobel prize winner scientist you will get your GC/citizenship within months. The basic philosophy of this immigration policy is that they want get the best of the world.
