Hiring attorney

Someone suggested hiring an attorney just to go over the completed application. I have a pretty straightforward case. Employment based GC, never been out of the country for more than 6 months, any law violations, etc

I am wondering experience of those of you who hired an attorney? And if you recommend some attorney based on your experience or that of someone you know?

Thanks
Mahesh

I suggested that earlier.

You could find ana attorney from variety of sources.

Since we use this board run by Rajiv, I will mention his name first.... http://immigration.com/ourservice/consult.html

You could also try AILA's lawyer referral service from.... http://www.aila.org/contentViewer.aspx?bc=16

You might also want to flip through the local yellow pages.

Lastly...... go to your local INS office, and you will find lawyers "hanging" around there, trying to find work. Those lawyers typically go there with a client, but are also looking for new clients while there.

Open Disclosure... I do not work for Rajiv, AILA folks, Yellow Pages or any client-chasing lawyers. My recommendations are made with the sole reason to help to member asking questions.
