"have you applied for GC before" question

Jewel's post got me wonder... in I485 (?) they ask if you ever applied for GC before. Since my GC through work is pending, my answer would be Yes. Could that affect anything? or they just want to know the truth and that's it.

I seriously don't think it will affect anything - it looks like they just want to know the truth.

I just thought about this again. My Labor certificate was approved by D of Labor but I never actually filed the I-140 with INS. Labor Certificate is party of the GC through work process, but if I am correct, it has nothing to do with INS? So I wonder if this counts as 'previously applied for GC' category.
