Hi,

I am currenttly on H1 visa and getting married in india in june. My wife is planning to accompany me on the way back on H4 visa. My current H1 visa is expiring in oct and I will apply for my extension once I am back from India. I needed to know if this(my H1 valid only till oct) will cause any problems for my wife to get her H4(obviously that also will be till oct). I heard that if the H1 visa is not valid for more than 6 months, it could be objectionable by the counsulate, is that true?

There should be no problem in getting H4 for your wife in June as your H1 is vaid till October.
