My father's application for the extension of his H1B visa was recently denied and he is currently appealing.
The problem is that I am turning 21 in a few months and I will be ineligible for an H4 visa if ever his appeal comes through.
Can I still apply for an F1 even if my father's H1B was denied? I still have about a year and half left to go in college and I do not want to go home before then.
What are my options?
