this is the latest info i have:

they wanted a visascreen, CGFNS have verified her as a specialist and have said she does not need a visa screen,
firstly, how long does it normally take for processing after an rfe of this nature?
secondly, has anyone been in a similar situation??????

i'm just panicking now as her start date is october 1st and we need to get an appointment at the london embassy which supposedly takes around 4 weeks,

anyone have any ideas how long it could be????
she was supposed to start work yesterday, luckily her future employer is willing to wait,

h1 delay at VSC

hi all,

I have applied for new H1 from VSC normal process.
last update on Aug 22nd for requesting additional docs, after that no update till now
any idea how long will it take to get approval ?

My case is similar to you.They received my RFE on 14 Sept (VSC) and now Last updated date is 20 sept.Nothing after that.Status is same as yours.

I dont know how much more we have to wait.

Update me if you hear anything.

Mine case is approved on Oct 4.Its COS from h4 to h1.

Hi,

I have contacted my atorney ,they were telling that ..they will be preparing the reply.it's almost more than 40 days from query date..
I don't know how many days will this take....feeling very sad :(

my Fresh H1 was also puhsed for Xtra evidecnce and info on 25th Sep 06

stll nw no updates on the USCIS website and also the Atorney.

jus hoping for some light in near future.

Also meena, i suppose within 90 days we shd reply for the RFE.pls be chasing ur attorney.

still atorney saying that we will be answer the query,i don't know how many months they will take,almost 2months over....
feeling very bad, what can i do ............:(

Hi all,

I have applied h1b through one company.on aug 23rd i got query requesting additional documents.i have contacted employee and atorny,employee said that we already replyed,but atorny said they did not answer upto now ,will be going to answer like that .......
it is almost two months from query date,
what can i do now
pls advice me

hi meena,

Remember that you have paid them money to get ur h1 b .It is their duty to respond to the RFE.I'm really feeling restless and irritated after reading ur postings..I'm curious to know WHAT THE HELL R THE ATTORNEY PEOPLE DOING.If ur response does not reach the INS in another few days u will be in serious trouble.what is the query all about.I suggest u to sit on their head until they respond to the query.
My advice: Just blast the attorney and get your work done.

I have called the attorny they were telling whenever they got the docs from employer then they will send the reply.but employer telling they already send
what is this drama thing i am not able to understand.....
any way again i will talk to employer.

hi meena,

well,one thing u can do is go in for teleConference.Get ur employer,attorney and urself into a talk.Talking like this can sort out the issue.Talk to them and make them come to a conclusion.

The notice date for me is june 6 2006.I didnt get any updates on my case and iam really restless about my case.The vermont service centre shows the date as april 30 2006.If you know any updates can you give me and any other advice too... :confused:

today i got the status that RFE is required. Now I have to follow with my employer and lawyer :-(.
can u tell me what is ur employer name?

i am sorry to hear tat ur case too have received RFE.

me tooo have the same prob and seems my lawyer have called the USCIS to know why they sent RFE for my case. He came to knw ta ther is some issues with the Degree certificate.

Then my Lawyer told me to be calm, since USCIS has ths attitude of finding fault wit Indian degrees.Hence he said he wil tak care of ths issue once he recives the writen notice in hand.

similarly i advice u to spk to ur lawyer and ask him to cal USCIS and get the status exactly..

we can also cal the USCIS infact..but takes hella lota time.
