My H1 was supposed to expire in April 2002. So I applied for extension in March 2002. Got my extension in July 2002, but WITH WRONG START/END dates. So I reapplied for correction in the end on July 2002. But have not got any responses yet. My lawyer says that the receipt number does not change for corrections. So if I see the status online, it says that the H1 was approved on July 2nd.
Is anybody else waiting for an approval this long ? Please let me know. I am really tensed. I can go to India now because I dont have a stamp in the passport. I cant bring my in-laws here because I dont have the original H1 with me because I had to send it for correction.
Please let me know what to do.
