I have 15+yrs of IT expereince and part of india based IT company. I have been to USA multiple times on L1 B/B 1/ L1 A visa (almost 7 years). Currently I am in India and I was requested by my employer to go to USA on deputaion and they would process my Green Card. I am yet to take a decision as I have following queries.
a) case I -> Can my employer apply for my green card while I stay in India? Once the prcossing is complete then I can go to USA.
b) Case II -> If I go to USA alone ( without family), how quickly my employer can apply for my GC and what is the expected wait time? Can my employer apply for Green card for my family as well even if they stay in India during this period ?
