dose of reality at chennai CG

I have been through the same issue, it almost took 4 months for me for chennai consulate to acknoweldge the cable that was sent. I dont know what\'s wrong with the CG at chennai they always seem to loose the cable message sent by INS or state dept.
I think the options that you have now is to contact the state dept visa service and explain your situation. Also follow the other follow-to-join thread. There is also a list of document that you might want to submit with CG at chennai.
The most important thing for you do to is to follow up with consulate regularly and with other agencies to staighten this up. You might also need some patience. But definetly they will get the cable and create a case number for your spouse, it just a matter of time.
