I am in the process of applying for an extention of my B1 status inside USA to do a longer period of hospital observershop and research volunteering work.
I have been in US 6 months and need to extend it to 12 months.
Will this affect me negatively if I decided to apply to a new B1 VISA at a US consulate outside in the future? In other words, will extention of B1 status, hardens getting a new B1 stamp in the future or getting any other VISAs for future residency like J1 OR H-IB ?
Do you advise me that instead of applying for extention I depart from US and apply for a new VISA outside directly without waiting a good period of time?
Please be note that my current visa is not valid for more than a 2 months more.
