Hi All,
My date of birth is mentioned incorrect on my OPT Card. However, all the other documents - passport/visa/I-20 have the right info on it. Now, my employer told me that in order to apply for H1, this error needs to be rectified.
I have sent my orginal OPT card to INS (Nebraska) for correction, but I am not sure how long it will take.
What should I do? I might miss out of the quota if I wait for the corrected OPT card.
And my employer says if I apply with this OPT card (with the incorrect info on it), the chances of rejection are very high. Is he right? Should I still go ahead and apply for H1 with the existing OPT card? (I dont have the original...got the photocopies...original sent to INS)
Please suggest me what to do.
