EAD Processing time for ATL

Guys and Gals,

Has anybody recently applied for EAD via ATL? My younger brother applied this week and we are wondering what the current timeframe and process is nowdays. The lawyer told him that he should get the receipt in 3 weeks and after that he has to call and schedule an interview at the local INS office for WAD and FP. Any hekp would be greatly appreciated.
