DV-2016 has been finally fixed, I have a friend's login information which was ALWAYS "session out" but now I've tried and he has been selected.



The weird thing is this sentence "Approximately 84,000 individuals were registered for further processing. Therefore, it is very important that you carefully follow instructions to increase your chances of possible visa issuance. The instructions are located on the Department of State website at http://www.dvselectee.state.gov. All DV-2016 applicants must use the online DS-260 Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application. Paper forms will not be accepted."

so they didn't take 120k as every time. weird.

BTW: I have no problem sharing the login information with Britsimon to confirm the authenticity of the page :)
 
and no I didn't win unfortunately :) better luck at 2017 I hope :)

I m going to look for a job in USA now , as I m really worried about being current for 2015, after I saw 84K only for 2016

how does this change cut -off predictions for 2015? I guess something can be inferred from this ...
 
84000 selectees, they don't want to reproduce by over selecting like during 2015.

If they don't issue all the GC, will they release new winners over time ?
 
For those now wondering, you can enter the 2016AF confirmation in the DS-260 form now and it comes up with no error. Congrats!!! Im still shaking and too scared to check mine lol:rolleyes: especially now with that 84K

No, I am DV 2015 winner with high CN. EU 408xx

Because this means, that 84,000 is enough. 125,000 is still overselected. 84,000 compared to 125,000 is same as 31,000 compared for EU 45,000. So, if DoS thinks that 84,000 is enough, this should mean that this year's cut off will be much lower that we expect. May be even around 34,125 as it is now.
