Dependent Sponsorship under age 21 for Canada

Hi,

Me and my wife both reside in the USA and are a permanent resident of Canada. I have an 8 month old baby (US citizen) that I would like to sponsor him for canadian resident. After reading thru the sponsorship details, there are two approach to go about:

In Canada Application - Obviously we start the process after we move to Canada (Planning to go Summer 2010).

or

Out of Canada Application - Start while I am residing in the USA

My questions is, which route do I go with? what are the complexity in each route?

I would appreciate any insight in this matter.
