My wife is a US permanent resident, and I'm in US on F-1 visa. She's going to apply for my Green Card. From the instructions on USCIS website it seems that she needs to file the I-130 first. Then, when the date becomes current, i-485 should be filed. Please let me know if our understanding is correct.
