Child born in USA (American father) raised in UK (British mother)

Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to provide me with some information or point me in the right direction...

I'm British and was married to an American and our daughter was born in the USA. The father and I divorced and I moved back to the UK with my daughter
.
My question is, if my daughter is adopted by her step father would it affect her American citizenship/passport etc?

Absolutely not. It's hers to keep by virtue of being born in the US.
