I'm new here and I would appreciate if you could help me get an answer to my questions.
I will be applying for US F1 Student Visa soon. I have already received my I-20 Form. However, my form indicates that my uncle is my sponsor which I initially stated when I applied for admission. After receiving the I-20, I got a full scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education which I would like to use as my new sponsor.
- Do I need to have my I-20 updated or is it enough to provide an explanation letter explaining the switch in sponsorship?
- In your opinion, which sponsor would have more weight in satisfying the consular officer?
