hi all.. 
I am a nurse currently working for a reputed hospital in North Carolina. I m on L2 with valid EAD ,just cleared TOEFL and m waiting on my visascreen .My employer says he will file for my GC provided i keep myself eligible to be working while i m waiting for AOS. And in this current situation I dont think I will be able to maintain my L2 status for long. Also that I m not eligible to pursue a student visa.I heard somewhere that the USCIS could give me a provisional visa and EAD after it passes DOL .Is this true? If yes how long would it take?Who do I ask? Should i ask my employer to file for GC although he is not going to be happy if I go out of status in this process...
Please help me.. any information would be really appreciated.
