Can you please help me?
I came to the US on an F1 Visa in January 2018 and used OPT for nine months until November 2020. I got an H1-B picked in the 2020 lottery, and my I-797 was valid until September 30th, 2023. I quit my job in August 2022 and transferred to an H-4 Visa; my H1-B was revoked as I left my job.
I moved back to India in January 2023. I still have four years of unused H1-B period. I plan to return to the US on an F-1 visa for a second master’s.
Can I use my leftover time from H1-B if I get a sponsor? Or Do I need to go through another lottery? Can I get my F-1 transferred to H1-B? Is this a transfer case or an extension? What does an employer need to do in this case?
