My story is quite different. I am hoping to get an idea.
I am graduating this December with a masters degree here in USA. My wife lives in India. I filed I-130 petition for her in September. Now she wants to be here for my graduation. I am a permanent resident as of now but will be eligible to file for citizenship in November 2014(4 yrs 9 months of permanent residence). When her I-130 gets approved and my citizenship will be approved she will have a interview available to my understanding.I am in dilemma to file a B-2 visa for her or not.
She has enrolled for MBA program in India and her intention is just to stay here for a month and go back to India to study a semester there. I know the visa application will not do any harm to ongoing I-130 petition but should she apply for a B-2 visa. She has a good job there and willing to come here on next October in a permanent basis.
Any suggestion will be much appreciated.
