Applying F2 visa for the Dependents'

Good day members, I have got my F1 visa approved in October and would be flying to the USA in late December. Now, I would like to apply for an F2 visa for my spouse as well as my kids. My question is that while I applied for my F1 visa, I stated in the DS 160 form that nobody is accompanying me to the USA. But if I apply now for the F2 visa stating their travel date in December, then, will it hamper their visa success? Or, should I apply for them after reaching the US?

I would like to clarify something here so that I am not misunderstood. During filling up the DS160 Form, I said that nobody will travel with me at this time because I and my wife decided earlier that they will join me later but my kids are unhappy and I have not been able to calm them. That's why I am asking whether I should apply for them now? Or later, after I reach the US so that I am in compliance with my previous statement because my statement in the DS160 form does not mean that my family will never join me.
