Apply for H1 using Accounting BS?

I recently got my BS in accounting in US, and I\'m working in a US company. Couple of days ago, I talked to an attorney about getting H1 visa and she told me it is not easy now for my case. I got confused and a little worried. I thought having a US degree and a job offer should get H1 automatically. Anyways, my question is does anyone know whether someone got his/her H1 using accounting BS recenly? Thanks in advance for your help.
 
Depends on the position

If the position requires a BS (no H-1 visas for janitors) and you have a degree that is applicable to the position (a BS in accounting applying for an H-1 based on employment as a biologist may be difficult ).
