Affidavit of Support: WHAT, WHEN, WHERE?

Dear friends,

I am one of DV2007 winners. I am waiting for the second package. I have some questions regarding affidavit of support:

1. WHAT documents should a sponsor provide for Affidavit of Support? Is it just I-134 form?

2. WHEN should a sponsor send the documents?

3. WHERE should a sponsor send the documents to? Should the sponsor send the docs to the petitioner or he/she should directly send them to the US embassy where the petitioner is supposed to be interviewed?

Usually you need the followings from your I-134 sponsor:

1. A notarized signed form I-134 from an American Citizen or GC holder (Sponsor).
2. Bank statment for your sponsor that he maintain sufficent fund to support you ( he should support you for 125% above poverty line).
3. Proof of employmet of your sponsor.
4. Tax return recipt of w-2 for 2004, 2005, 2006 for your sponsor.
5. A copy of your sponsor G.C. or proof of citizinship.

It's recommended to bring all these document together with you at your anitcibated interview date, this will substanially reduce your waiting time.
