Able to leave the country after Applying for an EAD?

Hello All!

I am here on an L2 visa. I have just applied electronically for my EAD.

Since the process takes awhile, does anyone know if I am allowed to go back to Canada for about 3weeks to visit my parents?

As long as your return while you L-2 visa is valid, yes ofcourse you can take a trip to Canada. Your EAD processing does not lock you inside the US.

I would add that you need to either do your biometrics before leaving or have it rescheduled if you've traveled before your appointment notice arrives in the mail.
