3Yrs. H1b Extension - Premium Processing

Hi,
My current 7th year visa expires on 25 May. My employer has recently filed for 3 years visa extension thru' premium processing on 8th MAY.

so far we haven't got any receipt number or approval from California center.
How long it takes to get the approval thru' premium processing?

In the menatime due to some unavoidable work, I've landed in India and I can only return back to USA after 31st May. As my current visa expires on May 25, once I get the 3yrs. visa extension approved, can I visit Chennai visa consulate for visa stamping? My situation looks complicated and I am not sure how things work out.

Hello Dude,
My 4th yr extension was applied on Sept 26th 06 and I am still waiting to hear.
Just this June 12th we converted my case to PP. So now hopeful.

Also I had to come to India in Dec and cannot go back till I get the extension. I have been stuck here and also did a contract project meanwhile.

But yet to hear about my extension from Uscis. Once I get ,yes, I must have to go to Chennai for stamping and so will you too.
