30 days auto revalidation

i m in usa on L1a status my visa stamp has expired on dec 2003 but i got the extension till dec 2006 .
i wanna travel to canada for a week. so do i need a visa to reenter in usa or the AVR 30 gonna be work for me if i dont apply for visa in canada. and my nationality is pakistan.

The 30 day visa auto revalidation law is in effect. I would suggest you call the immigration office at the border you are planning to leave/ return from. I am on h1 from pakistan and went to canada 2-3 months ago for 4 days and had no problem returning. I did confirm at the border that you can return within 30 days with no visa stamping. Be prepared for the special registraion at the border. But shouldn't be any problem if you have all the paper work etc.

I am not but would like to get h-1b visa stamping from there to avoid long wait in Pakistan.

How can I find number for border post immigration ?
