Hi there. I had my J1 visa interview at the US consulate in Melbourne on November 1st. I was given a 221g green slip and told I'd be contacted in a couple of weeks time. I emailed the consulate two weeks later and they told me to make contact after the 1st of December, which I did. I then received another e-mail saying to make contact after the 3rd of January. I'm unsure of why I'm going through this process. I've just completed my University degree and have a very English name. I feel most people go through admin processing if they have a Muslim name or are located in a Muslim country. Has anyone gone through this before? I'm hoping to leave by January 25. I'm just wondering how long they will keep me hanging. So stressful. Thanks in advance
