Congrats!!! I am waiting for the AOS interview. Just wondering why they did not stamp the passport right away. So I assumed that you passed the interview. Does everyone has to go thru the "Security clearance" before they can stamp the passport? Do you know if anyone got their passport stamped on the interview date?

And what did they say to you in terms of waiting time for the GC.

What kind of questions they asked?

Which state did you file the AOS?

Thanks

well the office is arlington, va.
I was not very lucky because they stopped stamping passports 1 week BEFORE my interview, I don't believe they resumed the stamping during the interview.
The interview was short and easy, the officer was chatting more than asking me specific questions;
and she didn't want to see half of the papers I brought, but you never know.
I had to call my senator's office almost every week to get news but being persistant pays off! good luck to you!!!

So meaning after the interview you have to wait another 16 months to get the temporary GC?? What takes them so long?

Also can you post those specific questions being asked?

Thanks and Congrats again!

well I believe it's unusual ( but with BCIS you never know..) waiting 10 months after interview for approval, but talking to the senator's office they told me how many delays and problems they have with that particular office ( arlington, VA).
I will be receiving my geen card in about 6 months and it will be valid for 10 years; I'm planning on getting my citizenship before the time is up anyway.
the immigration officer asked me where me and my husband met, where we got married and she wanted to see my son's birth certificate ( he's born in usa ); then since my husband is in the army she start asking him questions about military life in general, nothing related to our case and that was it, probably no longer then 15 minutes.
