H2b? Pls Advise

HELLO,
MY EMPLOYER PETITIONED FOR H2B VISA FOR ME. IT WAS APPROVED BUT MY CHANGE OF STATUS WAS DENIAL DUE TO THE REASON THAT MY I-94 WAS EXPIRED, NOT MY FAULT, INS FAULT BECAUSE OF THE BACKLOG IN THE FIRST CHANGE OF STATUS APPLICATION WHICH I FILED TIMELY SINCE 2001 ( THEY ARE YET TO GIVE ME A DECISION ON IT). THEY SAID MT EMPLOYER CAN FILE A MOTION TO RECONSIDER IT , OF WHICH HE ALREADY DID.HE SUPPORTED IT WITH THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AS THEY DIRECTED.
MY QUESTION IS: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THEM TO PROCESS A MOTION TO RECONSIDER CASES AND DO I STAND A CHANCE IN GETTING THE PREVIOUS DECISION OVERTURN SINCE IT IS THE INS FAULT.
