Medical Examination for I-485

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if an Insurance company will cover the costs of the Immigration Medical Examination for the processing of I-485?

I have medical coverage and just wondered if anyone knows or will I need to pay the cost of it out of my pocket?

Should I call my insurance company? Or the Doctor? What do you think?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Re: Medical Examination for I-485

An insurance company will most likely NOT cover the cost of medicals related to immigration.

There are 3 parts of INS Medical Exam :
a) Blood test for HIV and stuff ( 100 -140 $)
b) TB test ( 30 -80 $ depending upon if you need an Xray)
c) Vaccination. (200- 250 $)...

Most of the insurance companies will cover the vaccination part.
You can take the vaccination results to the INS doctor and he will not charge for it..

goodluck
