H1b

I want to ask a specific question. I went to US on B1/B2 visa which is 10 year valid. Before the expiry of my I94 I was offered a job and my company filled for my H1B visa, After waiting for 3 months for the answer on My H1B, I left the country and came back to my home country. So therefore I overstyed in USA more than 2 months.

My H1B petition is still filled and as per the request of the INS, my company has provided additional information on my case as well.

My question is IS my 10 year B1/B2 valid?
Can I go back to USA on B1/B2 visa and there wont be any problem as to enter the USA.

I will be grateful if you could answer this question.

Regards

I have heard that once you leave usa during Change of status,
the petition (h1b) will be abandoned.
(please check with a lawyer).
