H1 to H4
Hello,
I am new to the forum and looking for some advise. Both my husband and I are on H1B but working and living in different states, and we have been married for a few months. I ahve put in an application to transfer my H1 to an H4, as my husband's dependant so we can live together. My question is, that if I levae my job before my H4 is approved, am I out of status? will it affect our greencard application? we are wiating for the I-140 approvals. Please let me know, as I am stuck between having given the work place the two week notice and not ahving the approval in hand as yet, the oinline status does not give any concrete informtion.
