social security tax

Hello,

Recently, I was informed by my employer that my social security and medical tax have not been deducted from my payroll. I was supposed to pay them from 9/2000. Now my employer is willing to take the risk that not to pay social security tax to IRS if I don’t want to pay.

My question is: Is there any serious consequence for me? I am holding GC since 6/2001.
Will my GC be revoked because of that? Or my citizenship be denied later?

I really appreciate your advice greatly. Thanks a million.

How come you did not know that and had to be informed
by your employer?

Not only your employer should deduct 7.5% from yoru pay
but also do they need to pay 7.5% out of their money for
you.
