Was asked to appear in court
PLEASE HELP
My husband and I were living in a home where we were given a notice to leave the house in written but we had a talk with the landlord and asked to extend the stay to which he agreed. But later we found out that he had filed a complaint against us, I tried to solve it with the landlord. The landlord asked me for some money and said he would withdraw the case. I gave him the money and did not go to the court next day. He cheated and did not withdraw the case. The Sherrif sent us a letter to vacate the home which we did. Is that information in any records against us. Could it cause a problem with my greencard process or my husband's citizenship process? Please help. |
