Address Change issue/Re-entry permit

I am presently living in India for past nine month. I heard AVM that my I-485 has been approved (Aug-12) . I planning to come to USA to get my passport stamp and head back to India, as I am deputed to work here (India) from my Company atleast till Next April-2002, who know it may extend.

I had given an "in care of" address of my Uncle's as my fwd'ing address to the Post office. I had asked my lawyer if I need to submit this address change. In her opinion this "in care of" address is one of the gray areas, but not the moving in-country address change itself, as any address change (not in care of) has to be notified to INS with in 10 days of moving. Moving out of country on temproary basis in one those grey areas.

Rentry Question:

I would like to to know if anyone on this board has done a Rentry permit themselves. I would like to apply for a Rentry permit as soon as I get my GC-stamp. My lawyers fees is pretty high (800USD per applicant). It would really help me if members of this board could share their experience on "do it yourself" Re-entry permit.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

Passport stamping

I'm just curious, how do you plan to enter the US for passport stamping?

You can apply for reentry permit yourself by filing Form I-131 and paying $110.
