Multiple jobs with GC?

I have a GC approval. Can I work for two companies at the same time. I plan to change the job but at the same time do not want to resign from the old company for two week or so as I have money due from the old company and I suspect if i resign they will not pay me the money.
Can I have source of income from two sources with GC?

another related Q is if I am working for a company in full time capacity can I do part time job elsewhere?

No problem, but...

You should be careful with the job change after GC approval to avoid accusations of fraud by INS in the future (see multiple threads on this board). Otherwise, you have no employment restrictions whatsoever.

my case..

I got my GC approval 6 months back. My company has ben laying off people once they come out of project and my project will be finishing soon. It is in this context I am planning to change even at a lower salary.
I talked to my lawyer also and the lawyer said there is nothing in law which prevents one to change the job and said that there should be no problem

I have a question though . My spouse case is pending with local INS and I am not sure whether that could be a problem

any suggestions considering the above facts..

Thanks

Thanks **** for your response

As far as I know I have not signed any agreement with my old company and only thing is that I have to give 2 weeks notice.
I will have to check with new company.

Can I join a new company and take vacation from the old company for couple of weeks just so that I can receive my money as I suspect if I give 2 weeks notice to them then they will hold my money. After I receive my money I can resign but my probelm is that for those couple of weeks I might have salary from two sources and I am not sure if that could be a problem..
