Expired GC stamping on passport
Hi All,
Myself and my wife got our GC stamped on our passports last year. I received my plastic card 3 months ago and my wife did not received her's so far and her stamping got expired yesterday. Do I need to get her passport restamped? Could you please tell me the procedure, I would appreciate it. Actually our GC's were applied and processed in Pennsylvania. We got our passports stamped in Wichita, KS (I am a consultant and I happened to be in KS when we got the approval). Now I am in California and working for a different company. Is it OK if I get the restamping done in California or Is it better to get it stamped in KS or in PA? I would greatly appreciate your advise. Thanks, Bhaskar

yes, i think your wife should get a new stamp, especially if she intends to travel abroad and re-enter the us, even though she is ok to work because the 485 is approved. and yes, you can go to a local ins office to check on the status of the case and/or get the pp stamped.
