Citizenship Interview
Hi All,
I have the citizenship interview in few weeks. I want to know what are the General Questions they ask at the interview. Do they change the questions every time? I've seen some sample questions but want to know if they change them or not. Also how many questions in general do they ask? Also I want to know how do they test reading and writing skills, how hard these tests are? Many Thanks Duke |

The questions are simple and straightforward... read on peoples' experiences with interview and you will see. USCIS has a booklet with the 100 questions / answers (short & long form). The DO has it, and you should get a copy after FP is done.
The language test is very simple, the IO reads a sentence and you write it... And you get to read a sentence as well. The reading/writing test should be waived for board members in good standing

You should have a booklet with the 100 questions and answers from the finger printing. In the back there is a CD. Use that on shuffle-play or random on your computer.
For reading and writing they will show you a short sentence to read. Then ask you to write and answer to the question. The IO will tell you the answer to write. Something like IO: "Please read this sentence." They point to a line in the book. You: "Who was George Washington." IO: "Please write, '"George Washington was the Father of our Country.'" That's it. Very easy with a little bit of study.

Thanks & Congradulations Guys,
I got a copy of the booklet and am going through the 100 questions. My concern was whether they are going to ask questions outside of those 100. Sounds like they don't. Also from your answers I gather reading and writing tests aren't really hard. BTW: How long did the whole test take for you guys? Thanks Duke |

Most of the questions are information about your life. They change it? It depends on who is your interviewer.

Thanks guys,
The reading/writing part doesn't seem to be a big deal (according to what I gather from your answers). BTW: How long did the whole process take from walking into the Office and doing the test to walking out. Regards Duke |
