Re-entry on new J1 (ealier has two HRR ) while husband's citizenship in process
Hello friends,
I had been to US on J1 as a short term scholar (3 months- october 2008-December2008), my passport has 2yr HRR. I am submitting my PhD thesis soon from India and looking out for a suitable post doctoral position as I got married in March 2009 in India and my husband is in US. His citizenship application is under process ( Fingerprinting done). My husband is disabled with a neurological disorder. My questions are Will 2yr HRR prevent me from applying for new J1? Can i go on visitor's visa to US and then apply for HRR waiver? Can I apply for a waiver from India itself? Could anyone please help me?
