Marrying a Doctor from India
Hello Everyone,

I am working in US on H-1B visa. If I marry a doctor from India who wants to pursue higher studies in US, what are the visa options for her?
How difficult is it to get a student visa for doctor from India? Is it better if she comes here on a dependent visa and then change her status? In that case, do you see any problems in getting a dependent visa for a doctor? Your advice in this matter is really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

your spouse can come on H4...being a doctor doesnot make her ineligible. She can take USMLE exams and after getting residency, she can change to H1. But she cannot work on H4.
