Spoke the next level IO (Officer)

My case for I485 is pending for the last 6 years without any progress - RD - 06/16/03 . Spoke to the representative who answers when calling the uscis and then he transferred my call to an Officer. The officer said that I should get a response in the next 30 days regarding my case. Has anyone had a situation like this? What does it mean when the call gets transferred to an officer? Do I expect light at the end of tunnel soon... pls advise

employment based. He said he would put in a service request but also mentioned that this would be last enquiry for the case - and if even that doesnot work then we may have contact the senator or the obmandus or something (i have it jotted down at home) which would be the last resort for my case... hope his enquiry does some magic as in my case there has never been a RFE and when I had gone via InfoPass some 4 yrs back they had said I was thru with all the background/name check etc. and yet no action taken
